Eh, I had experience with a 15" prototype right before they switched to the aluminum cones...so I knew what to expect, or more accurately what not to expect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifYeah everyone was rooting for the RL-p to be a world beater... I was at least.
Believe what you want...the part that's bolded is about the only part that has any validity.nah, actually RLP is better than the W6.
if u see it got the loudest with the least watts. Also sq is subjective, you need to play like 100 plus tracks to really get to know a woofer. 10 won't cut it.
There needs to be a mixture of music on the sq test
rap, techno, classic, rock, clasic rock, heavy metal, ect.
also the rlp was tested is just one enclosure.
SO am i am saying, is I LOVE the results, but there A TOO many variables to decide what is a better drivers. What you can fugure out from this is what type of drivers they are
peace
And that has what to do with SQ again?true, but rlp did get the loudest with least watts In " ported spl"
If you looked at the review, I included orchestral arrangements, rock, jazz, tracks which highlighted individual instrumental parts...how much more of a "mixture" do you need? I don't consider rap to be a valid test of a woofer's musicality, so it doesn't get included.rap, techno, classic, rock, clasic rock, heavy metal, ect.
I can see part of where you're coming from...you really get to know something after a period of time - which we didn't have any of during the session. Even Stereophile and The Absolute Sound have a short list of test material, maybe 10-15 tracks. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.you need to play like 100 plus tracks to really get to know a woofer. 10 won't cut it.
SPL-wise, the numbers speak for themselves. Musically, you're free to give it as much credit as you want - I'm just going from what my ears told me.but rlp needs more credit, no doubt
thanks for the revies though, you are the man, it must have been fun.And that has what to do with SQ again?
