Im getting motivated to do something.

Im 6' 2" so im not small to start with, but im 250 lbs exactly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .... so id like to loose about 30 lbs at the least.

I really dont eat much to begin with in general (in fact, my family and friends poke fun at me often when we go out to eat and I dont eat near as much as everyone else). Ive even been on dates before and during dinner the girl thought I was trying to eat less then her and she actually got offended //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I do have some exenduating circumstances to my issue though

1. I no longer have a thyroid (the gland that regulates your metabolism) due to having Thyroid Cancer a few years back.

2. I have had both of my hips replaced (in relation to the cancer I had previously). So exercise is kind of an issue. Ive been given a 30 year life span on my new parts and wear/tear/abuse from excersise will reduce those years and i'll ultimately need new parts.

3. I have a IT job so that means constant sitting almost all day. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

So im really open to suggestion here. I know there are a few weight management / excersise gurus on here that might have some pointers or suggestions for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Cut out pop, if you drink it. I did that for awhile and the loss was enough for people to notice. Since college kicked up, late nights, that stopped, but I am going to start again.

Pick up drumming? Like on a set. Lot of exercise there.

Get enough sleep.

Light walking/jogging. Nothing extreme. I'm just trying to think of thing that are moderate that can help out.

I rarely drink soda - I usually drink apple juice or gatoraide so I dont think thats an issue.

I try to go walking every night for about a mile around my neighborhood, but ya know - sometimes it doesnt happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

sitting is the diet i used to win a contest. I didnt work hard and did not lift anything that was heavy. The last month of the contest involved lots of battlefield 2 and little food and i won the total was 80 pounds in 5 months but a bunch was water weight at the end. It was a legit 60 of fat but now i just need to wail on the old heavy bag to actually get shoulders again. I used to be a 270 pound monster then got injured but kept eating the same and hit 380 in 10 months. I worked a job lifting all day but when i couldn't anymore I gotz super fat. now i am 310 but squishy. and still injured so i feel you on the cant work out much tip. My ankle is what is defective on me so the heavy bag is ok because its only standing and its takes alot just to hold up big gloves and wail on it for a while, really get the heart going.

My meals are pretty consistant too - for breakfast I eat bran cereal with milk, then for lunch every day I eat a peanut butter & jelly sammich. For dinner, the GF usually makes something pretty lean since I dont like fatty / fried foods. I think im doing ok in the nutrition area, its just not helping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

cut out the milk and less carbs if you aint using them. try and eat veggies and fruits more then food. it helps
Yeah, I think i'll just start using water for my cereal in the morning. Probably wont help too much though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
