Wiring?

I have 1 Kicker CVR 12 4 ohm that isn't hitting that hard. I adjusted the EQ on the deck and the gains on the amp. The amp is quantum audio 1000 watt monoblock class d. The wire connected to the negative on the sub is connected to the positive on the amp. And the wire connected to the positive on the sub is connected to the negative on the amp? Is that the problem? Please help. Thanks.

Have you looked at the rms output of your amp at 4 ohm compaired to your rms rating at 4 ohm on your sub?

Also the enclosure it's in makes quite a big deal. Are you using a prefab box?

What gauge wire are you running to your amp?

The devil is in the details. Off the bat I'm not sure how good your amp is, another amp may work better. Used stuff can be had for great prices online.
