Greetings.

I'm not firmiliar with parts and accessories of the car stereo world. What I've found out about it, is basically from reading posts from people on various msg boards about what to buy, what goes good with what, etc, etc.

Anyway, from what I know. I need 4 guage wiring, some type of grounder, and a electrical protector of some kind to ensure the sub doesnt fry.

What I'm trying to get at is, what EXACTLY do I need to hook everything up, and an estimate of the cost of it. I've seen the kits and stuff at circuit city, but those are in my mind, outragously priced. I've also heard of people going to a shop, where the buy and use wiring in bulk and just buying it there for cheap. Has anyone done this?

car audio specs:

-ALPINE CDA-9825 CD/AM-FM Receiver NEW 04 XM HIGH POWER

-2 Rockford Fosgate RFP3210 He2 10" Subs

-AUDIOBAHN A8002T 800WATT 2-CH AMP

Thank you in advance, and any information is good information.

Also, forgot to mention that I was looking for plans for a good sturdy box. Can't find anything buy using google other than LxWxH and wood type's. Looking for a ported dual 10" box plan.

(even though this probably isnt the right forum for it) sorry =p

Go to Walmart if you don't want to pay outrageous prices. They have several amp kits around $20 or so. Wire is wire, and they'll work just fine.
