Wiring Upgrade???

I have a Fosgate amp pushing 400 watts in my 97 4runner. I have 4 gauge power wire, and I am using 16 gauge speaker wire. I am going to run one 10. The amp is under my passenger front seat. Do I need to get some bigger wire for the speaker? It will be about 15 feet, so what gauge would you recommend? Thanks.

16 gauge should actually be fine for 400 watts. If you really want to upgrade to 14 or 12, but it's not necessary.

You will be fine with that if you already have it. If you have enough, make 2 runs and see if you can tell a difference.

It is stinger wire, I know gauge dont mean that much. I have 2 hooked up right now. I may use 2 sets of 16 gauge wire to use when I get the 1 sub. Anyone else? Thanks.
