wiring troubles.

i have a fosgate 500s amp. its specs are supposively only 4 ohm stable in bridged mode. and 2 ohm in stereo mode. i have a dvc 2 ohm sub, would the amp cook if i wired it up in a one ohm load and wired it in stereo? would it be more wattage then it would be in 4 ohm bridged?

You can't wire it to 1 ohm stereo....your options are 2 ohm stereo (each voice coil to their own channel), or 4 ohm bridged (wire the subs in series and bridge the amp)

your best bet would be to run the sub in series and bridge it to the amp. i noticed on rockford amps they don't like to be run at 1 ohm
