Wiring to preferrable loads

This might be a stupid question but... if you need to get a certain load to your amp that your subs don't normally wire to, can't you use resistors to change that load?

Wow 1.5 hours with no response and you get pissy...

You can change the load the amp sees but the resistor will cause a lot of power loss in the form of heat and you won't get any more power going to your speakers. What exactly are you trying to wire to what?

I wasn't gettin pissy I just figured it would be a quick response and people were viewing but not responding.

Alright I was really just kinda wondering cuz people are always complainin about not bein able to wire somethin to what they want it seems. So if you're trying to drop it for added power it won't do anything as the resistor will **** all that added power anyway, but if you need to bump up the resistance to get your amp stable, it could be a good idea?

Still dumping a ton of power into the resistor. It will get hot and blow. Better off getting the right coil config to match the amp or wire to higher load with what you have.
