wiring to amp

i am currently installing an aftermarket head unit

i want to go ahead and get wiring for the amp so i dont have to rip the radio panel back out

and connect it and install the radio the rest of the way until i get my amp and sub

will this work will i still be able to use it until i get an amp and sub?

You mean like hook the RCAs and remote wire to the back of the head unit while you have it out?

Thats what I did and it was fine.

will the radio still run even if i dont have the wires from the RCA on the back ran to the amp because i prob wont get my amp and sub for a couple more weeks

also what kind of wiring will i need

i have no clue what im doing ha

Yeah it will work

Did your head unit come with tools that allow you to just pull the head unit out from the front? If so it will be easy to get back there from now on
