600 rms @ 1 ohm is the full power, electrical is prob a 65-70 amp alt, and i'm using stinger 8 awg

but if i just run each sub to it's own terminal is that still a 1 ohm load? and can i do this with a mono block?

yep. if it's monoblock, the 2 sets of terminals = 1 set inside the amp. so do it that way and see what happens. i think you may need to run at least a 4ga for it though.

the manual for the amp says to use a minimum og 4 gauge, but then i was told i shouldn't need to use 4 gauge for only 600 rms.

IIUC 8ga is good up to 24amps, 4ga is up to 60amps. at 12v, 600w = 50amps

once again...IIUC, 8ga is good up to ~288w
4ga = ~720w
0/1 = ~1800w
4ga = ~720w

Ok? What does that have to do with it? Many monobocks have two speaker inputs, my ed nine.1 even has two.

And you can run up to 3k off 1/0 with good charging system, not 1800
