I currently replaced my stock speakers with a component set in front and coaxials in the back. They are currently driven by a 4 channel amp connected to my battery with 4 guage Soundquest wire. The plan is to replace the stock HU with an aftermarket receiver and add a sub.
Here is what my final system will look like:
Alpine Type X's Component Set 6.5(front)
Alpine Type R's Coaxials 5.25 (rear)
Alpine PDX 4.100 powering the two speakers
JL W3v310 (10in) Enclosed
Alpine PDX 2.150 powering the sub
I don't want to skimp on the wires, but I also don't want to spend a fortune either. What kind of wires should I get? The audio dealer suggested I get JL cables and gave me this whole spiel about how SQ is almost directly correlated to the quality of the wires. He then suggested I get the JL amp kit that costs 99$ and the RCA cables that cost 30$. Is the 4gauge wiring setup I have for my car sufficient to power the two amps? Do I need a cap? What else do I need to add an amp + sub + aftermarket headunit to my stereo?
