wiring sizes

ok so im needing to buy

1.some wire for my subs, 2 type rs pushing at max 1000 per sub (im thinking 16 ga?)

2. wire to run from amp to the back of HU to go into my 4 comp. speakers at around 125rms (not a clue what to get here)

16 gauge is way to small. I'd go with 4 gauge. I'm not sure about the comp speakers.

I didn't know if he meant wiring another amp to his comps or what. But is he talking 1000 RMS between both?

Cause if its 1000 watts a sub. 12 seems a little small to me. Just opinion though.

I use 4 gauge OFC for my sub wires. Most people on here will say 12 gauge is plenty.

For some type R's, I agree that 12 is more than enough.

I feel retarded now. I read it wrong. For some reason I read that as amp wire not speaker. Yeah 12g will do him lol

i mean instead of running wires from the amp to each individual speaker, to the HU, because i have a cab between my door and the cab so it would get pinched, figured this way would be easier

running my pos. neg. wires from the amp, to the pos and neg. of a speaker behind the hu into that harness since it already send is signal to those speakers, then i have to take my wire currently on the speaker and put that to the crossover, than wire onto the speaker, sorry im at work im typing fast, but would this not work? i have to remove alot of **** to run it directly to the speakers and figured this would save work

If your running a 4 ch amp then run dedicated wires from comps to 4ch

14ga or 12ga would be sufficient to run your comps/tweets/crossover. I use 12ga

yes that will work. you will save time using stock wire but sacrifice sound quality
