Wiring RSD comps to get 2ohms?

Just out of curiousity.

If I wired my mids to each other in parallel and my tweets to each other the

same way and then used one x-over for the mids and the other x-over

for the tweets I would get svc 4ohms speakers wired in parallel = 2ohms correct?

Or can this only be done with subs?

Will making that long of a run to wire them have a negative affect/effect?

an ohm is an ohm, it does not matter if its 2 4ohm tweeter, mids or subs.. 2 4 ohm loads wired in parallel would equal 2 ohm, same as 2 4 ohm loads wired in series equals 8 ohm..

as far as wire goes, I don't know as im not a professional but I see nothing wrong with it.

Ok so ditch using 2 x-overs and seperating them and instead use 1 x-over.

If an ohm is an ohm and the x-over doesnt split power but actually seperates

freq. theoretically you could use 2mids and 2 tweets on one x-over right?

Now you have the abillity to use the amps 2ohm power.

When the freq. is sent to 2 speakers lets say the tweets, the x-over wont

know whether its sending it to 1 speaker or multiple speakers correct?

That answers that thanks for the replys.
