I'm plannin' on running two amplifiers. Is it alright to run the main power wire to the trunk and split it at the trunk with a distributor block? Or do I need the distributor block near the battery?

and

Does the power wire from the battery to distributor need to be fused? Or is it only the wires that are being split that need to be fused?

Yeah that's what alot of people do. Just run a main power wire from the battery back to a distribution block. If the main wire is larger than the ones that split into the amps. All the wires need to be fused. If the wires are all the same size just fuse the main wire.

What will happen if i do not fuse those 4 gauge wires being splitted?

The wire could catch fire in the case of too much current draw. However, chances of this are extremely unlikely if you fuse the main power wire. I had a single 4 guage power wire splitting into a 4 and 8 guage strand and never had any problems not fusing at the distrobution block.
