Lets say I have a 800 watt amp with 4 channel, 2 D2 4ohms 400 RMS sub. The amp is rated for 400 watts @ 4 ohms bridged. Is it okay to wire them 2ohms per sub bridge while setting the gains low?
What I understand from OHM law is that E=IR, E=sqrt(wr), I=E/R, and W=EI.
2 Ohms
28.28v=sqrt(400watts*2ohm)
14.14a=28.28v/2ohm
399.93w=28.28*14.14a
4 Ohms
40v=sqrt(400watts*4ohm)
10a=40v/4ohm
400w=40v*10a
Does this logic work out?
