So, something is wrong with the wiring in my car, my head unit has power, but power isn't getting to my stock speakers. the head unit is stock too.
I'm going to replace all the door speakers and rear speakers in my car, along with an aftermarket head unit, but I'm not used to wiring, so I'm wondering, since the wiring to my speakers is bad, could I just splice speaker wire to the harness that comes with the head unit that I buy, and run that speaker wire straight to the aftermarket speakers, without using the old wiring harness in my car and without using the stock speaker wiring that's in my vehicle?
I figure I can just use the old power wire, ignition wire, and ground from my stock wiring harness to my new head unit, since it's getting power, then just completely splice all new speaker wire to run from the speakers to my new head unit. would that work?
if that makes sense, I typed really fast so I probably repeated alot lol.
