Wiring Question

Which is preferable? Crossovers in the trunk, and 4 runs of wire to the front of the car, or 2 runs of wire, and crosovers under the dash? I have sufficient wire to do 4 runs easily, but would I be getting notciable noise by doing that?

i have my crossover's in the trunk then a run of 16ga 4 wire to the tweet and woofer, then 1 run of +- 16ga to the amp under the pass seat... had no noise..

but i allso ran power downt the middle of car. signal down left and speaker wire down the right.

Mine is setup similar. I have the power/remote wire run down one side, and will be running the rca's and speaker wire down the other....if need be however, I can always run the rca's down the center of the car. Do you think there would be any nasty crosstalk between rca's and speaker wire?

Location of the crossover is determined by simplicity, preference, or asthetics.

If you want to save wire, install the crossovers as close to the components as possible. If you are going for a show car, and want the crossovers in the trunk, no problem with that.
