im wondering if i have 225 watts per channel, if wi would be okay for me to use cat 5 wiring to connect my door speakers, or is it just too thin?

i would use 12-16ga, but i didnt readthe CAT5 article...

It won't handle the power. If you are running 4 for positive and 4 for negative, then its only 4 strands of 24 gauge.
