Wiring question

I recently purchased an LED light that I wish to install in my dash. Unfortunately I have no clue how to do so. Obviously one wire will have to go to a 12v constant, is there any other wire I could piggyback on or would I have to go straight to the battery? The only option I am aware of would be a ring terminal right on the battery, but since the wire is so small I have no clue how I would get a similar sized ring terminal on the battery terminal. As you can tell I am a novice at car electrical, so any help is appreciated. Thanks

There are many wires you could wire it to, just depends on what you want to use the light for/when you want it to turn on.

If it will be always on, then wire it to the ignition wire or something that is constantly on while the car is running.

Or if it will only be on at night, you could wire it to your headlights switch.

i got an led light too and i just wired it up to my deck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif works perfect
