Wiring Problems??

Not really sure what the problem is. I have a JL 13w7 and a JL 1000/1 to push it. I have 4 guage wiring to the amp. When I turn up the volume real high, the sub stops playing and the light ont he amp for "Low Voltage" comes on. Sometimes the light stays constant, other times the subs kicks in and out. This is only at higher voulmes though. The amp stays on and working with lower volumes. Any ideas?

cause the more you turn up the volume the more power the amp puts out and the more the amp puts out the more power it will draw.

So you do not have enough power to run that amp correctly.

I would suggest you upgrade you stock battery to a good deep cycle battery if that dont cut it then you will need to upgrade you alt.

upgrade your wiring, and secure ground better, get the deep cycle battery but put it by the amplifier and keep your stock. Then if the amp still turns on and off, what i'd do is ghetto rig a series of 10 car batteries into a 120v DC current and fry the shit outta that amp to teach it a lesson or, use a voltameter to check where the voltage is dropping. It could be your remote wire, mine was doing that and after examining the remote wire i found a break in the wire, it was near my sliding HU and randomly touched ground which turned off the amp. I'm sure thats not the case for you though so check the drain of the power cable. If it steadily drops and drops, you need to upgrade electrical system.
