Wiring problem

Alright so I soldered my wires from my head unit to my harness adapter. I hooked it up and head unit came on. Then as I was taping the wires my positive red wire and yellow wire touched a speaker wire solder and make a crackling noise. After I got everything taped hooked it up and it didnt come on. Last night my manager let me borrow a old head unit to wire up, and it didn't come on either. I dont have a test light but im guessing my wiring is bad. So my question is will I just need a new harness adapter, or a whole wiring harness for my car now?

You probably blew a fuse, check your fuse panel. Next time disconnect the battery until you are finished installing the head unit.
