The guy at the hardware store told me that to wire a dvc sub in parallel to a mono amp, i need a box todo it. is this true? and if not(Which i didn't think i needed a box to do it...) how do i physically wire it? i know pos go together and all neg go together but how do i physically connect it all together, any picture(s) would be awesome help.

Heres a diagram to show what im doing if im not explaining well enough

Also what kind of wire should i use, the kind thats one strand or two strands connected even though im wiring in paralell..

Thanks

Other than an enclosure for the speakers, no "box" is needed. Twist the wires together. Solder if you feel like it. Wire it just like the picture shows. Use multi strand 14ga or larger. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My brain hurts just looking at those diagrams. It's late so if anyone sees a problem with either of those, please feel free to chime in!

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
