Wiring in a capacitor

I love how everyone must flame this guy for his cap in 3+ sentences

and then answer his question briefly with a "yup thats right"

I'm sure reading that caps are useless once gets the point across.

And at least you were honest about you just having it for looks, enjoy your cap

but keep in mind that you'll need something a bit more effective in the future.

cheers

Are you?I have read previously about how people hate caps and that they don't help. Never about wiring them into the system. Posted on here about grounding it and that was answered. Wired it up and noticed a slight difference in bass response and SPL. So read what your saying.
I was just pointing out the holes in your story. I know how it is sometimes difficult to accept constructive criticism but it is sometimes good to listen. Being that you never posted your equipment, it would be hard to say is you are even getting a major current draw at all. I highly doubt if you noticed a slight difference in anything other than some LED lights and a placebo effect. Take it from someone who's USED a cap before. But like I said, it's your car and if YOU feel that it's working for you then so be it. Go look at some build logs while you're here and see if you notice anyone using a cap. Probably won't

I agree with TurdFergueson2...there are some who will give you some crap about what you may or may not be using, but for the most part everyone here is trying to help. Don't take it too personally! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also, the more detailed information you can provide the better.

There was a thread why someone explained why caps are worthless, and they should make that a sticky. Along with why jl sucks, stupidist ca thing you heard, post set ups. Btw your correct on the drawing.
So pretty much all the misguided threads that should be deleted?

No thanks.

i say if you got the cap for almost free then eh it's ur setup I've always been told the cap has juice stored in it yes but once the bass hits then it is drained it takes time to power it back up and if you are listening to heavy constant bass then it has no chance to repower. There is the reason not to use one and why they are pretty much useless. But you have one already and if it makes you happy to have one then go for it. Someone correct me if im wrong though
