i have a 89' cavalier and i put a kenwood kdc5000 cd player in it but i had to buy an adapter from walmart but on the adapter there is an orange dimmer wire but on the back of my cd player there is not one will it hurt it any if this wire is not hooked up. thanks for your help.

don't think it matters i believe the only thing that wire does is dim your HU when you dim your int. so it should be fine w/o it
