Wiring headache - help!!!

Hey guys, I just got a new vehicle (2006 Buick Lucerne) and am going to install my head unit, sub, amp and a 4ch amp. I'm a little confused though...

I'm planning on getting a steering wheel control interface as well as a RAP interface to keep factory chimes and accessory power. How do I hook all of this up? The RAP interface says it's for "non-amped systems". I'll be using the low level inputs on my HU to run to my 4ch amp, so would the chimes still function? How would the remote wire(s) work? I'm so confused, my brain can't handle this much! Please help!

You need to get the AXXES xsvi-2105 nav, it's for upgrading to an amplified system. You can still use the rca outs no prob. Just use the remote from your Hu to turn on the amp. What exactly are you running off the 4 channel? Are you going to upgrade the door speakers?

Thanks for your super quick reply! It makes some more sense now haha.

Yes, I'm going to install some JBL comps in place of the factory speakers. One thing though - that AXXESS unit you listed also says it's for non-amped systems.. What's the difference between the AXXESS LC-GMRC-LAN-01 I had in mind?

Both will work for your system. The one i listed has the steering wheel interface and navigation, while the one you looked up keeps the factory chimes. Up to you which one you want to use. Non amplified means it's used with a stock system that doesn't have a factory amp installed. Are you running the sub off the other 2 channels bridged?

Ooooh I gotcha. No, I'll be using a separate amp for the sub. So does the AXXESS you listed keep the steering wheel controls and factory chimes? I was looking to buy a unit to keep the steering wheel controls along with a separate unit for the chimes, is this a better solution?

Get the one with the chimes and a separate wheel assembly if you want to keep it oem as much as possible. I looked up several sites and didn't find one "fits all" set up, meaning chimes, wheel interface, nav, onstar....etc.
