Wiring Head Unit Channels Together for More Power?

If im not mistaken you would wire it into series one positive from one side to negative on the other side and the use the remaining other two to whatever speaker(s) your using. Dunno what your outcome would be though i wouldnt try it lol. Wouldnt this be the same as bridging an external amp? Dropping the Ohm Load as seen by the amp in half (even though the final load stays the same)

Sounds like a good way to fry the amp if you ask me.
