I have a 13w7 dvc 3 ohm sub. i also have one jl 1000/1v2 and one jl 500/1v2. i am using the two amps to power the one sub. i just need to clarify one simple question. how do i connect to the sub from the amp? just put both positives wires from each amp into one positive jack on one of the vc and the opposite vc put the two negatives into that. then bridge the two vc from negative to positive? like this diagram except with two amps.

If you are saying what I think you are saying think about this. You have two amps, with different power ratings, going to the same sub on different coils.

How does this NOT sound bad to you?

Coil 1 is getting 500rms and Coil 2 is getting 300rms how is the sub supposed to react to this? Poorly, that is how.

Do not do it that way.

what amp do you recommend that can put out 1500 watt rms at 3 ohms? i can overpower it a little bit. i thought that was going to be the reply just trying to make sure lol

i think you guys are right but what if i take just one voicecoil with the positive terminal and hook both positive wires from the two amps to that then the other vc i hook both negative wires to that then i bridge the left over positive and negative?

are you being serious right now??? this cant be serious....i wish you would dide bro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Let me make this blatantly simple for you.

In no way, shape, or form, should you be using the two amps you have to power a single subwoofer. DO NOT DO IT. There is no "what if" that works in this situation. Get one amp, find a professional installer, and pay them to install it for you.
