wiring harness.

red = power wire when your car is running or /accessory position.

yellow= full time power to keep your station settings

black = ground

solid blue = anntena or amp power-up.. remote signal

the rest are speakers.. usually the color that the 2 speaker wires are are the same.. but the negitive has a black line on it.. so get a battery and put the purple one on the positive, and the purple with the black line on the negitive.. if you hear the driver side front door speaker pop, thats what it is, and remember it or write it down.

then just match em up with the new head unit.

good luck, post some pics.

From a '98 Passport electrical troubleshooting manual: Red/wht:hot all times, red/yel: acc, blu:lf + speaker, yel:lf - speaker, grn: rf + speaker, gry:rf- speaker orn:lr +, wht:lr-, orn/blue:rr+, orn/wht: rr -, and black is ground. That should help a bit.

Thanks for replying...(for all who did) but i know what the colors are from the stereo...just not from the car....i had to run power from the battery, and then from the fuse box.....but now when i turn the car off, and then back on, it's like the radio memory gets wiped out? any ideas?
