can i switch harnesses between a alpine CDE-9843 and a alpine CDA-7893?

so i tried to use the CDE-9843 harness on the CDA-7893. and after being on for like a min or so. it would turn off, is it becuase this harness doesnt have the fuse and that grey power on the yellow wire as the CDA-7893 harness does?

Since Kenwood went to the squarish-shaped plug from the long rectangular-shaped one the only thing that has changed was the addition of the B.M.S. control wire for use with those decks that featured it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
