Wiring Harness Question

I'm matching up the haress for my 08 4Runner and I have one wire remaining on the vehicle harness and one on the HU harness.

The HU hs a solid blue wire that says "system remote" and the vehicle harness has a blue/white wire. These are the only two wires left so the powers of deduction would say they match but since there colors don't match it's got me nervous.

So if I don't have a power antenna I can just leave it unconnected. Can you dumb down what that actually means for the blue one? What do you mean remote wire?

yes,,, and the blue wire has power only when the radio is on so you hook it to your amp if you have one so it turns on and off with the radio so your batt. wont die

hmm on either side of the B2 Quota amp, I don't see a terminal for this "remote wire." There is an RJ45 looking connector that is labeled remote, but that is to adjust the gain with another rheostat you can mount. Where would this connect?http://www.wooferwarehouse.com/assets/images/categories/amps/b2audio/quota/quotapanelw.jpg
its usually right by the power and ground on the other side,, usually big power and ground input with a small remote input right next to or inbetween them

just looked up pix for your amp and the remote input is the one right inbetween where your power and ground input is,, think it says rem, need to run a wire from your blue remote wire from cd player to that rem input on the amp so your amp turns off when your car does

Perfect, alright thanks. So do I just leave the blue/white one from the vehcle harness disconnected?

Ok so I'm reading the manual here and the solid blue wire on the vehicle harness is labeled as "factory amplifier remote turn on." I have no idea regarding car audio, but I thought the factory amplifier was built into the HU or is there another amp somewhere? If so, I'm guessing I'm going to have to three way connect these wires (1 to the HU, 1 to the factory amp, and 1 to the sub amp).

Many cars have factory amplifiers outside the HU. I think the 4Runner came with a JBL system? If so you need that remote connected or the main speakers won't work. Also some cars have an amplifier for the FM antenna that needs the remote. So just connect it to your blue wire.
