Installing a head unit. I have the harness for it. The harness is meant to integrate with the factory amp.

Can the factory ground from the harness, the head unit ground wire, and the amp ground wire from the harness all be connected or can the factory ground only be hooked up to one of these? Does this harness amp ground wire even need to be connected anywhere? Usually I expect the ground to be hooked up without need of a 3rd party harness and it seems weird that the wire is included in the harness to begin with.

If anyone can explain what is different between audio grounds and regular electrical grounds that would help but that's just an aside that isn't necessary at all. I just read somewhere that audio grounding is very different from regular household grounding.

For what it's worth, I have an unused power antenna wire currently that I'm just taping up with electrical tape and I'm going to have to take the real dimmer wire from the vehicle harness as my harness didn't come with an orange wire for a dimmer. Bummer.

[Edit]

I found a resolution. All of the wires can be ground together. My vehicle is a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S and the harness was a Metra 70-8113 for anyone trying to resolve this in the future.
