Wiring for 1 ohm

I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs, a dual box, and want to run them to my phoenix gold 600.1. The amp is 1 ohm stable and i wuld like to run the subs at 1 ohm. I've looked at RF's wiring diagram but I want to make sure i understand it right. So here it goes; please tell me if i got it right.

I wire the positive terminals on each sub together as well as the negitive terminals. Leaving the subs not connected to each other yet.

I then use another speaker wire to run from one of the positive terminals of one sub to the other positive terminal of the other sub; same with the negative terminals.

This is where im confused, do i then twist the two positive leads together and connect them to one of the positive terminals of the box or do i run them seperate; same with the negitive wires?

From the box do i run one positive and one negitive wire or two of each to the amp?

This is confusing as hell to me but i hope you guys understand it.

Help!

Alright so if i wire them after the box, then inside the box i will use all 4 wires (2 positive and 2 negative connected to the box)?
I would suggest the easiest method would be to wire the two coils of each sub together inside the box (both positives connected to each other and likewise for the negative) then you'll only need a single positive and negative per sub attached to the box.
