wiring failure to front speakers

Hey guys, in the last few weeks I have started to do all my own installation (with the help of some friends here and there). I have new component speakers, and when i originally hooked them up to the deck they worked fine for about three weeks... my speakers began to start cutting out on random occations making me think it was a bad ground. since then im pretty sure i found that problem as there was a disconnected to the front component speaker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif .

Where I'm at now, is that when i connect the front speaker wires to the deck all the cabin speakers cut out. when both front speakers are disconnected then the rear deck speakers work only (as well as the sub).

I've checked out all the wiring connections, and am coming up with no luck... I appreciate any input you all have

Is the sub powered off the deck also?

right now i have my shiva being powered off of a small orion amp, and my dls ms5 components and infinity rear fill powered off of the alpine 9813 deck.

Sounds like you have a short in your speaker connections, when they short out, the deck is probably killing all of the other outputs.

I had a problem with my left components cutting out, turns out a couple inductiors inside the crossover broke off the circuit board.

I cant remember if i checked the speakers individually hooked up to either deck or amp power. I'll try that to see if if i can find out which sides messing up. and also check the crossovers..
