Wiring dual alts

I have a 06 Yukon and I just bought a mechman alternator 320a. My plan was up run it work the stock alt. They're both 2 wire plugs. The exciter wire is PWM. Is it still possible to run these dual or do I have to get the mechman regulator changed to a 4 wire?

Just get a new 2 pin plug and wire it in parallel to the factory plug. I cut the plug off my 04 blazer and wired it with the factory on my 03 yukon to run dual alts.

That's what I was thinking but 05 and up gm switched to pulse width modulated signal wire. So I don't think that'll work

pretty sure your vehicle is PCM controlled...soo.. yeah have fun

probably need an external voltage regulator

Id recommend just making it self exciting or ignition turn on. I wouldn't wire them parallel with it being PWM

I can send my mechman alternator to get the regulator swapped out for $43. Then I can just use this as a secondary.

just have them send you the regulator if you have to pay shipping. it's easy to swap out
