I'm thinkin about running dual HO Alts. The question is how do i wire it??? i drew a pretty crapy diagram below. Which option would be correct??? I think #2 is correct, but i am not quite sure.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

For dual ALT's I am pretty sure your going to need an isolator or just isolate the rear bank and second alt (that would avoid the actual "isolator" and save you some lost voltage), unless you get some sort of extrenal regulator that can run both ALTs to one bank of batteries at the same time. Two ALTs can not be wired to the same battery right out of the box, the unit's regulators would not know what to do.

ok, i had no clue about that, i'm glad i asked. I know alot of people recommend to use isolators when running different batteries, but thats all i really heard about that. thanks:)

What type of car is this going on? I did some checking and depending on the type of regulator it may work. Also what is your goal for the dual setup? will you have additional batteries?

the car will be a tahoe, with 4 total batteries including the engine compartment battery. will any of my diagrams work??? thanks for checking up on that...
