wiring crossover

My suggestion would be to integrate a SPST relay into your remote activation circuit.

Ergo ~ let the head unit's remote activation output be the trigger for the relay and then let the relay turn on all the accessories that need to be On/Off controlled by the head unit. The remote accessory activation output on your head unit is likely less than or equal to only .5mA and needing to send current to too many devices could potentially burn it out (I've seen this happen before in person - the guy that did it was soooome kinda angry!)

I use a relay in my setup coz there are two 20" neon rods, two amplifiers, and an LED sweep bar that come on with my HU. Ever since I saw my buddy burn up the remote output on a Blaupunkt head unit I always use the relay trick if there are more than 2 devices that need to activate with the HU.

SPST = Single Pole Single Throw relay.

They're normally cheap as dirt....Acid's right...Wal-mart, Auto Zone, Radio Shack, etc should all have them. Get a 30 amp relay and that should cover any and all accessories you might ever want to wire to it.
