I'll be wiring my diamond D6 components to an orion 3002 amp, 75w rms 2 channel.

I already have a sub amp set up with a 5ga power wire.

so let's see if I got this right.

I have a distro block for my power cables. I'll put the 5ga in the distro, split it into 2 9ga, wire one to my sub amp, one to my comp amp.

The remote wire, I'll leapfrog it from my sub amp to my comp amp, meaning ill just take the remote wire for my comp amp and wire it directly with the subamp.

the preouts I wire to my designated front preouts on my HU, wire to my amp.

Speaker wire is where im confused. I think I'm gogin to grab 12ga speaker wire, wire it to my crossovers, and wire 18ga speaker wire to my tweets and midbass.

sound good?

I believe thats it.

yah that works but 12ga speaker wire is prob overkill.. 16ga or 18ga should be fine the whole way....
thats what I was thinking. 12ga was expensive too.. haha. do you think 40 ft of 18ga would be enough?

What are the advantages of having 16 over 18? I know that its less resistance..but anything else?
