Sub Hook Up

Alright So I have this panasonic CQ-VAD7200U in-dash. Im trying to hok up my subs but the RCA's that I currently have in my car are the normal 2 plugs on each end. In the diagram on the website for the manual... which can be found here http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportModel?displayTab=R&surfModel=CQ-VAD7200U&modelNo=CQ-VAD7200U&storeId=15001&catalogId=11017&itemId=62752&displayServiceCenter=true# page 76.... is shows the Sub RCA having only 1 plug on the end going intot he brain. On the brain itself there are 2 black Sub inputs but when I hook up my RCAs into eaach i get nothing. My amp is DEF getting power I checked it with the multi-meter. Do I need to get one of these RCA cables? If so any idea where I couldn't find them at radioshack

Look in the pic, there are two sub rca's it just has a listing for an optional connector or some crap.

But if I plug the 2 RCA's into the Amp and the other end with 2 into the Brain I get nothing coming out of the sub

OK, so I got the sub playing now, but it only plays on Radio?!?!?! When I turn to any of the other inputs, like where my ipod is connected, no sub? Also when the dvd or cd is playing, no sub? Any idea?

Yeah it sounds like you have the remote line in the back of the headunit wrong. You probably have it hooked up to power antenna instead of remote. The remote wire goes to the amp to tell it to power on.

So which wire does the remote wire connect to? I just ended up connecting it to the blue wire that was there in the back of the unit??

Normally the remote-wire is blue with a white stripe. Solid blue is the antenna I believe.

Yup, found it and hooked it up to the blue with the white, found it in the manual haha. But.. still nothing... now I have no sub period. What a project haha

That's a weird one. Sorry. Does the manual say only use one Rca? Try running a wire from your positive on your amp to your remote on the amp and see if it powers up. Cause it might be a bad remote wire.
