Wiring Apline Type X 12" without jumpers?

I have one amp with a single 12" Alpine Type X sub. The sub didn't come with the jumpers that the owner's manual talks about, and it looks like you have to use one or two jumpers to hook it up with a single amp.

Is there any way to connect this sub without the jumpers? (by looping wires or another way, or by using something else for a jumper)

Or does anyone know where I can get the jumpers from?

It says you need to use the jumper.

It shows connecting a + and a - wire to the sub, then using the jumper depending on if you want 8ohm or 2ohm.

So how exactly would I do the speaker wire to connect it? Just connect it like the diagram shows and not worry about the jumpers?

correct. Use speaker wire just as you would if you had the jumpers.

What is the point of the jumpers if you don't really have to use them?

cause of people like you the forum gets talked down upon alot...not everyone is an experienced car audio god like yourself...so maybe next time take the 5 seconds to explain to the guy what he can do instead of your almost worthless post

but to answer your question thread started...you can use speaker wire instead of the jumpers...what is the voice coil config of your subs, what would you like your final ohms to be?

I would guess Dual 4 ohm woofer and he is looking to get it to 2 ohms.

If that is the case man, just use some12 or even 8 gauge wire to connect one of the positivs to one of the negs.

i think im getting confused. i wired my r's like regular parallel + to +, - to - on the voice coils 4 ohm subs paralleled to get 2 ohms right or wrong....

That would make it 8 ohms(series). For 2 ohms(parallel), he needs to connect both of the positives together, and both of the negatives together.
