Generally speaking, If I wired my amp down to .5ohms, will the amp ever see .5ohms playing music???? I wired my amp to .5ohms, and put the dmm leads on the amp while car is on. The dmm read .9ohms. I know the amp is fine at .9ohms, but im wondering if it will ever see .5ohms. There was a controversey about this a while back and I need a definite answer.

Impedance rise you won't see a .5ohm nominal load when wired to .5ohm.

So does that mean I will never see .5ohms regardless of playing music or not?

Or does it mean the amp will see .5 during playtime, but not at idle?

Idle, meaning car on, but no music.
