i have a temperature monitor that happens to be part of a computer, and the cable that is supplied with it is like ~ 1.5 ft and i was wonderin if i couldnt just extend the power cable? does anyone know if it would mess up the readings? Thanks

depends on the temp monitor.... it has a power/ground? most temp sensors have just a single wire and lengthening that wire wont hurt anything....... but again depends on the monitor

post a pic, im sure you can extend it. i bet you its just a little diode at the end... prolly has 2 wires inside like a pair of headphones does. simply cut the wire, strip the outter rubber, there should be another shielded wire underneat that, and extend those two wires out =)

easy.

post a pic tho. for the 12v, you can extend it as far as you need.
