Wiring a Subzone vented box?

I have a sealed box w/ 2 12w3d4 JL's. It has one set of speaker jacks. The speakers are wired together for 4 ohms inside the box. I now have a subzone vented box, which is supposed to be much better(I hope!). But each sub has it's own enclosure now, separate of each other, so there are two sets of jacks. Each sub is 4 ohms. I've never looked inside of the box; it was put together at a shop. They never bothered to give me the manual either. The amp is a JL 500x1, stable 1.5-4ohms.

If the subs had only 1 voice coil, I guess I'd just run the 2 subs in parallel. But seeing that each sub has 2 voice coils, I'm lost as hell. Is there a website that explains how to do this? Help!

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.....does the box only have one cup terminal? If so, just wire both coils to the connector on the inside (assuming it's parallel), if you're wiring in series you won't have to worry about it.

Assuming you want to run in mono....Measure the static resistance right off of the terminal. If it's somewhere around 2Ohms wire the box in series for 4 ohms total... if its 4ohms wire the box in parallel for 2 ohms. If this isn't what you were looking to do you'll have to pull the speakers and re-wire the voice coils.
