Wiring A Second Amp

Do you have a eq, crossover, etc running off that same remote turn-on from the H/U? I would get a relay switch if you have a few amps and other accessories running off that turn-on wire.

Im sort of a noob with this, do you mean like a seperate eq/crossover connected to the amp? I just have a MRP-F600 amp powering a set of comps.

Dont worry about that bro...he may be confused..Just either do a jumper wire from the remote on the amp you have now to the new amp you will be installing, or just splice into the remote wire and run to the new amp,,very simple solution, and should not be an issue.

Basically I was just seeing what type of set-up you have. For instance, separate crossover or eq...pretty much how many devices do you have running off of that remote turn-on. I have seen people hook up a couple of amps, eq, etc and there turn-on wire burnt out. If you are just running a second amp, you should be fine, but a relay switch wouldn't hurt. They're cheap and easy to install.

Just making sure he does not have other devices hooked up. He may be hooking up another amp, but may have had other devices installed as well. If it is two amps it should not be a problem, but if there are other things running off that wire then... He should find out what his amperage draw of that remote wire is. "Know your equipment" in other words. If you are inexperienced to car audio it only helps to know what your equipment can do. If the current draw exceeds .5 amps (which most H/U remote wire can handle .3 to .5 amps) he could burn out.
