Hey yall i have a question on how to wire up a fused distribution block. My friend who helped me install my system is no where to be found so i don't have anyone else but ca.com to help me out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .

anyways i just got an amp and i was wondering how do you wire this up? my fused distribution block is something similiar to this. http://cgi.ebay.com/AGU-Fuse-Fused-Distribution-Block-34-48-A-Free-Fuse_W0QQitemZ5818153365QQcategoryZ50550QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.

I have 2 amps. the front stage has an rms of 75 x 4 which equals to about 46 amps and my sub amp is about 400 x 1 which equals to about 60 amps. So do i wire an 8awg wire from the sub amp power to the output of the block with a 60 amp fuse and do i wire an 8awg wire from component amp power to the output of the block with a 50 amp fuse? then after that i run a 4awg wire from the input of the block to the battery?

if this isn't the way to wire it up using two amps please let me know how. i don't want to mess up anything in my car so i just want to make sure that i am doing everything right. thank you in advance.

You have it right. Backwards order , but correct. Dont forget an inline fuise holder within 18" of your battery
thanx for your reply. umm sorry for the noob question but isn't the fused distribution block all i need? is a fused distribution block an inline fuse holder and a distribution block all in one? again sorry for the noob questions.

you need to fuse your power wire that goes to the DB under the hood within 18 inches of the battery with an in line fuse holder (4guage in your case). From there, just put the right fuse in the DB for each amp, a 50 for your 4ch and a 60 for your mono. You can get AGU fuses in both of those sizes.

thanx for the reply. another question for the inline fuse holder do i need a 100amp fuse?
