wiring a dvc 2ohm

i know this has probably been brought up countless times but how would i wire a 2ohm load to a dvc 2ohm subwoofer its my first 2ohm sub, so im still learning any help would be greatly appreciated

my question now is is each coil getting 1 ohm or .5 im pretty sure its point 5 but i just wanna be sure, this also makes shopping for an amp a little more challenging im looking at a hifonics bxi 1210d is it 1ohm stable?

well make sure it is 1ohm stable if you are going to run it at 1ohm

personally i would look for a 4ohm amp which is at or a little higher than the rms of the sub

well the rms im looking to run it at is 1200 and finding a 4ohm amp that will run 1200 @ 4ohms will be pretty expensive so im probably going to go witha 1ohm amp

two amps ive sound so far that look good are the audioque 1200d and the hifonics bxi1210d

but im also seeing a soundstream pca1500d that looks pretty good in the classifieds

No offense but since you asked such a beginner question I have concerns for your sub. What sub do you have that can handle 1200-1500 rms daily? It's a legitimate question. Don't take it personally.

Stay away from Hifonics amps. They're notorious for dying.

OP what is your entire set-up. tell us what your wiring is from the battery, what sub, sealed or ported box. what your looking to do, what your looking to spend.
