Wiring a Capacitor

I need the directions on wiring a capacitor! Please help me out
Though you'll likely get blasted pretty good for even starting a thread dealing with capacitors lemme see can I answer your actual question.

It's dependant on the specific cap you have. Most caps need to be 'charged' (filled, however you wanna look at it) prior to final installation. The one I have in a closet is self-charging but seemingly those are the minority.

If you have one that needs charging you should have gotten a charging bulb or card with the cap. Follow the instructions on that to charge it.

Beyond that it's a matter of hooking the positive connection on the cap to your battery's + post and then grounding it (ground it after the pos. is connected) then whatever amp you're wanting the cap for connect its positive input to the positive terminal on the cap.

on my tsunami cap, the + is hooked up to the + terminal on the cap and the + on the amp is hooked up to that, and the - on the cap is grounded to the frame and the - on the amp is hooked to the - on the cap

did you have to pre-charge that cap?
I dont think so I just hooked it up and everything worked fine. But at first my lights would dim a little bit when the bass hit when it was first installed and the voltage display would stay on even with the car off, so I came home from school and the display was off and the lights didnt dim anymore. Everything works fine now.

you dont need a special bulb. i have used jsut a regular interior dome light bulb to charge a capacitor. technicaly you dont need any bulb jsut hook the wires to the capacitor. however having a bulb will allow you to see when it is ully charged or discharged. make sure to wire the capacitor in series with your car battery and your amplifier. meaning the bat + hooks to the capacitor then daisy chains from the cap to the amps + then select different grounding pioints for your amp and capacitor.
