i have a taurus and im running 4 gauge wire to the trunk and i dont know how to get it through the fire wall from the engin compartment any ideas on how to get it through

drill a hole.

i just installed a deck in one of these (same car) the other day, and it was a PAIN in the *** to get the faceplate off and switch all the knobs to the aftermarket one, and get it all plugged in.

there is usually a grommet on the passanger side somewhere, if not try and find a spot where there is only metal on the otherside and drill a hole.

ok im prolly going to drill a hole but how did u get it throguh did u drill and if so where at did you drill

we didnt install the amps yet, so i havnt done this, but when i installed my amp in my car (1994 cavalier) i just drilled right thru the firewall.

drill+bit+15seconds=hole.

then just snake it thru. not too hard.

Ditto. My 92 Taurus had a grommet (predrilled hole) that put the wire out right between my feet under the dash.

Drill + 15 seconds = hole, then just get rid of all the burrs and you have a smooth hole.
