Wiring 3 amps: anyone know how to do it on 4 gauge?

When you're talking about wire gauge, think of it like a freeway. For this example, we'll just consider the 4ga a 2-lane highway and the 0ga a major metropolitan freeway. Try to put the same amount of cars through each and what's going to choke up first?

He hasn't said whether or not he has plans, though. That's why most of us are just erring on the side of caution and upgrade-friendliness. But hey, if he's not moving up then he could probably do just fine with Knu 4ga. At least we know he's using a true-to-size wire.

agree , but he did say that he was keeping his beloved amps

actually if you 4 gauge is a good ofc wire then you should be ok on 1750 watts rms depending on what amps they are ,but you might be pushing it ,wouldnt do it myself but you'll prolly never listen at full tilt too.i can sell you the distro block if you want .0 gauge would be best if you plan on upgrading down the road.so you might wanna thing it over a bit.
yeah, i usually never crank the volume. so you have a distro block for 4 gauge to 8? or were you talking one for 0 to 4?

Yep, caught that. Guess we'll have to wait and see what he says.
OP, besides the gauge of wire, what's your current electrical setup?
okay, yeah i see what you're saying now. i'm not sure if i wanna upgrade in the future, but just to be safe i might run 0... would a 4 gauge input accept 0? and i have everything to do the big 3, just haven't had a reason to yet. that's the only other electrical change

I'd add a 1/0 gauge and distro that to ur 2 sub amps, and use the 4 gauge for the 4 channel.. If you decide later you want to your sub amps that'll give you more flexability to do so as well.
true, i never really thought about thinking ahead for the future, and being prepared

4 gauge to 8 gauge
one 4 in, three 8's out? how much would the block cost?

Most likely, no. But a good distro block will let you take 0ga to 4ga to connect said amp.

2 Way Distribution System

Here's an example

yeah, i do want to be safe. i certainly don't want any fires, and i wanna be able to run whatever i please, without having to worry
