wiring 2ohm DVC sub

i want to wire my dual voice coil 2 ohm sub for a 1ohm load can i connect both of the positive leads with one wire and connect both of the negative leads with another wire and then just wire my amps positive to one of the subs positives and the amps negative to one of the subs negatives?

if that doesnt make sense

another way of putting it would be if i connect the positives on my sub and connect the negatives on my sub could i just wire the amp to one of the subs positive and negative leads would it work the same as if i had a wire coming from each positive and each negative going to the amp?
