Wiring 2 KX2500's to 1 Solo X 18?

How do I wire up the sub from both amps then? Ive never wired up 2 amps to 1 sub before so Im not sure if Im suppose to wire it up the same as just 1 amp or differently since I would be using 2 amps.

Right now none, but I also havent seen my truck since June 12 because I am in the army away from home right now. I get to go visit home from Dec 17- Jan 3 and then Ill be back home for good around mid Feb. I already have 1 kx2500 and Im gonna get a SoloX 18. Im also looking at another kx2500 to possibly get if its the right price. As for electrical, I plan to get a better alt., big 3, and a few kinetik batteries. Right now Im trying to gather things up so that I'll have everything by the time I go home for good.

ok cool, one amp on each coil would work. but without electrical upgrades everything could go up in smoke. I wouldnt recommend installing both those amps without extra batteries and/or HO alt even for a short time. your probably looking at 10volts without upgrades. 12v+ at full tilt and your "safe" if the amps are matched so one coil isnt getting more power than the other.

So if I used 2 amps I would need the dual 2 ohm sub to get both amps running at 2ohm? Im still unclear on this question though...... Could someone explain in detail on how would I wire each amp up to the sub?

Pos to Pos, Neg to Neg on 1 coil to 1 amp and vice versa on other amp and coil

I wouldnt do it like that myself, i mean it can be done but youd have to exact match the amps so they move in sync

Where at in SW LA are ya?

Here is another question..... Is this even a good idea, trying to run 1 sub off of 2 amps? I wish the KX2500 was able to be strapped with another but since its not, is it safe to have 1 amp going to each voice coil? Could someone please put their input in about that?

i think you should just not do it.. if you're unsure on how it even works or how to do it.. I wouldn't waste the cash on it.
It might come down to that but Im just trying to look at my options here. And I wouldnt say that I know everything about car audio cause I dont, but Im def. no noob. This is just something Ive never done before and I havent really read about it anywheres else. I dont want to waste cash on it but IF I can find out how to do it the right way, then it would be worth it. Thats why Im trying to get the wise wisdom of all the experts on here. And yea, I def. work way too hard for my $ to just have everything blow up on me lol

You could prolly get a good amount if you sold those 2 2500s, not that their not good amps, but in ur situation not quite what you are lookin for

Get yourself a bigger amp or 2 other amps that are strappable and ur set

But you have to set the gain on the amp to the same voltage so it moves both coils the same amount, if you want to use the 2500s

How would a Solo x 18 sound on just 1 kx2500 then? The enclosure I plan on building is one that is in the manual for it....

S18X

VentedSUV (TheOneToDo)

10 ft3 (283L) + port displacement, Fb=35Hz

Port: 150 in2 (968cm2) area x 21” (53.3cm) long

Power Handling = 4500W Peak

I just wanna get this thing moving and I dunno if the 2500 would be enough to get the job done.
