I have 2 Crossfire dB312D 12" subwoofers and a Crossfire TEK 100.2 400w x 2 Amplifier (2 stereo channels out)
Basically what I've done for now is:
+ to +
- to -
for each sub... But there are 2 +'s and -'s on each sub and I'm assuming that has something to do with them having "DUAL VOICE COILS"
A wiring diagram along with an explanation of Dual Voice Coils would be awesome! Also, does the "400w x 2" mean a total of 800w going to the 2 subs together? Only with the level turned all the way up? I'm pretty new to this stuff but I can catch on relatively easily. So my questions are.
1. How to wire 2 Dual Voice Coil subs?
2. What IS dual voice coil?
3. Does level/gain affect how many watts the amp is outputting?
4. Does the amp put out 2 separate channels of 400w?
Thanks
